Three weeks into the hockey season, Emo-Devlin-Barwick Minor Hockey Assocation teams continue to play exhibition games with squads from Fort Frances and International Falls.
In Atom division action, the Emo Hawks hosted International Falls Gold and earned a 3-3 tie on goals by D.J. Mosbeck, Robbie Rea, and Matt Sigurdson.
Kyle Hill (two) and Joel Skirten replied for the visitors.
Then the Hawks stumbled against visiting MEC (Fort Frances), coming out on the short end of a 3-1 score.
Sigurdson netted Emo’s lone goal while Jesse Carmody, Braedon Keast, and Zach Pocock hit the twine for MEC.
And the Fort Frances ‘AA’ Atom boys crossed sticks against Emo Esso PeeWee girls, skating home with a well-deserved victory.
Each team scored three times in the first, after which the Fort team took control.
Ryan Windigo led the visitors with a hat trick while Donovan Cousineau, Chris Bobczynski, and Brad McDonald also scored. Taylor Meyers, Carlee Bosma, and replied for Emo.
