Only the Midget Blues took to the ice in recent Emo minor hockey action but they skated away with a win and a tie in their two games.
Tied 4-4 after two periods against the visiting Fort Frances Midgets, the Blues scored a pair of unanswered goals in the third by Gary Curtis and Jeff Friesen to ice a 6-4 win.
Friesen also had scored earlier, with Cole Kaemingh, Joe Sletmoen, and Billy Angus adding singles. Ryan Smith and AJ Tucker each tallied twice for the visitors.
Then the Blues crossed sticks with the Tagg’s Bantam rep team (Fort Frances) and battled to a 2-2 draw on goals by Jeff LaFleur and Friesen.
Neither team could score in the third period.
