A national team-calibre fastball talent will be here to impart her wealth of mound knowledge to children and adults alike.
Sarah Shotton of Winnipeg will lead the two-day CANPitch clinic at the Rainy River First Nations’ diamond at Manitou Rapids this Saturday and Sunday from noon-4 p.m.
Shotton was named the top female fastball player in Manitoba in 2010, and was a member of Team Manitoba at the U21 women’s fastpitch championship in 2011.
She went on to play for Houston Baptist University, then headed overseas to join the Tex Town Tigers based in Enschede, The Netherlands.
Shotton later returned to her home area to play for the Smitty’s Terminators in the national women’s softball championship in 2014.
Sessions will be open to both adults and youths.
