Jon Dupuis and Sandra Windego were jumping for joy.
Dupuis shot an 81 to win the men’s division of this year’s Frog Creek Open at Kitchen Creek Golf Club on Sunday while Windego fired a 96 to top the ladies.
The victories mean the duo now must uphold the tournament’s tradition of having the defending champs organize the following year’s event.
The “Most Honest” golfers were Karla Rogozinski for the women and Gord Sisco for the men, with Sisco also winning for having the straightest drive (on #9).
Scott Clendenning was a dual winner, claiming closest-to-the-hole honours on both #7 and #11. Alton Pollard and Wendy Horn achieved a similar feat on #5 while Rocky Brown won the award at #13.
Rob Payne won the main draw prize of a round-trip for two from Winnipeg to Vancouver (donated by Border Travel and American Express) while Rob Tovey won a gift basket donated by Ernie Thompson Distributors.
