The two-time defending champion Domino’s squad wrapped up a berth in tonight’s Borderland Soccer men’s championship game with a 4-2 victory over International Travel Services last night.
Tyler Barker scored twice for the winners while Chris Faragher and Scott Bridgeman also found the back of the net for Domino’s. Mitch Green and D.J. Mackintosh replied for ITS.
Dan Poperechny picked up the win in goal.
Meanwhile, Emo battled tooth-and-nail with Pharmasave all season long for second spot only to fall short, but came up big at the right time with a 2-0 win over their rivals last night to advance.
Kevin Friesen netted both goals while Jameson Shortreed pitched the shutout.
Gillons’ takes on Taggs in the women’s final tonight as well.

Meanwhile, in Rainy River District Fastball League action last night, the Fort Frances-based Sight & Sound Wolves upset the top-ranked Big Grassy Lightning 4-1 on the road.
Bob Andy, who returned to the team last month after missing most of the season, pitched a strong game for the win. Jeff Morrison took the loss.
In the other ‘A’-side match-up last night, the three-time defending champion Barwick Blue Knights snuck past the Rainy River Royals 3-2.
Kevin Gemmell continued to carry a hot stick for the Knights with a home run that turned out to be the difference-maker.
JJ Landry got the win while Murray Armstrong was the hard-luck loser in the pitching duel.
On the ‘B’-side, the Sabaskong Cubs picked the right time to get their first win of the season, eliminating the Stratton Eagles in a hotly-contested 6-5 decision.
Brian Indian earned the win.
The RRDFL playoffs will go on hiatus for the NAFA World Series in Sioux Falls this week, resuming next Tuesday (Aug. 18).
Sight & Sound travels to Barwick in a battle of the only two remaining undefeated teams, Rainy River clashes with Big Island, and Big Grassy squares off with Sabaskong.
