Susan Livingston’s legacy continues to grow.
The Fort Frances native, who passed away in 2015 at the age of 49 from cancer, was one of 133 alumni listed for special recognition as part of the University of Winnipeg’s “Impact 50” celebrations honouring the post-secondary institution’s half-century of existence.
Livingston was hailed for her involvement with the sport of racquetball while at the university, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree in 1990 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1992.
Racquetball Manitoba hosts “Peace, Love & Racquetball: the Susan Livingston Tribute Tournament” annually, while Racquetball Canada hands out the Susan Livingston Award at the Canadian championships each year.
There are also four bleacher seats in the Wesmen’s main gymnasium inscribed with Livingston’s name due to contributions made in her honour.
