On Saturday the Rainy River District mens and women’s fastball leagues will host three games at the Stratton Ball Field.
The games start at 2:30 p.m. with a youth vs veterans game, then the women’s all-star game is set to start at 4:30; concluding with the feature Rainy River District Fastball League All-Star Game starting at 6:30.
The men’s game will be between Team Fowler and Team Bonot. Team Fowler is made up of players from the eastern end of the District. The team is named in memory of Jim Fowler, a longtime coach, player, and umpire. Team Bonot is named for Brian Bonot a longtime fastball personality in Stratton.
The canteen and bar will be open and there is a dance after the game in the curling rink with $10 admission. Only cash will be accepted and there is no ATM on site.
