There’s a fine line between champion and runner-up.
That line could be no thinner between the Diehards and second-place Scared Hitless atop the Fort Frances Women’s Volleyball League standings.
The Diehards’ three-point outing last Thursday night lifted them to a season total of 60.5, with Scared Hitless nestled right behind at 60.
Meanwhile, Sabaskong isn’t too far back in the rearview mirror, either, sitting in third with 57.5 points while defending champion Gillons’ remains a threat in fourth (57).
Power Paks (47.5) solidified their hold on fifth place, tying for the week’s best total of five points along with the Wildcats (39), whose strong showing pushed them ahead of the seventh-place Squirts (36.5).
Mixed Nuts stayed in eight place with 25 points, followed by The Placers (14) and the Rookies (12).
League action resumes tonight from 7-9:30 p.m. at Fort High and Robert Moore School.
