Devoe memorial planned tonight

Fort Frances Youth Soccer will resume playing games this evening, with a moment of silence beforehand to observe the passing of Bryce Devoe.
Devoe, 13, was killed last Wednesday after being struck by lightning at the St. Francis Sportsfields after league games had been cancelled due to the thunderstorm.
“We’re just going to meet there prior to commencement of the regularly-scheduled games tonight to have a moment of silence and prayer,” said Tara Redford of the FFYS.
Past president Rick Chambers also will speak.
Redford said the memorial is very much open to all. Anyone interested in attending should be at the St. Francis Sportsfields at 5:30 p.m. sharp.
Today marks the FFYS’ return to the soccer fields since the tragedy.
