Devlin ball tourney an awesome event

Hats off to all the organizers, volunteers, and (most importantly) the 12 teams that took part in the annual Devlin slo-pitch tournament over the weekend.
Good Vibrations captured the ‘A’ final Sunday with a victory over the Jokers-Up North. The Clippers earned the ‘B’ crown while the River Rats claimed the ‘C’ title.
The weekend was a lot of fun. The canteen was busy and folks enjoyed the music donated by Ken Manty.
The hot weather was made bearable by cool beverages and socializing with friends, both old and new.

Robin’s 2¢:
A bum asks a man for two dollars. The man says, “If I give you the money, will you buy booze?” The bum says no.
The man asks, “Will you gamble?” The bum says no.
“Then will you come home with me?” the man asks. “I want my wife to see what happens to a man who doesn’t drink or gamble.”
