Dash for Cash draws large field

Money isn’t everything, but it certainly isn’t a bad drawing card.
The annual “Dash for Cash” children’s bicycle races at Emo Speedway on Saturday night were a monstrous success, with approximately 100 youth testing themselves against their peers in a battle to capture some coin and, in the case of the youngest age group, candy .
In the age five-and-under group, Tyrell Hyatt broke the finish line just ahead of Wyatt Boyum from International Falls, with Katie Magill taking third place.
Ashley Jonson from International Falls showed some girl power by winning the age six-eight category, with Drew Harmel grabbing second and Tyler Jonson holding on for third.
Devlin’s Jeff Davis sprinted to victory in the age nine-12 division, ahead of Devlin’s Tana Saunders and Emo’s Carlee Bosma.
Riley Caul from Devlin, a fellow go-karter of Davis’, flashed his superior speed in the age 13-15 group, as he bettered Emo’s Valence Allan and Devlin’s Brady Caul to win top spot.
