Last Wednesday the Fort Frances High School Muskies wrapped up their season with a successful meet at Bear Pass. Many Muskies’ runners did well.
It was a big group of students from across the region, and while the Muskies didn’t crack the top five in the younger age groups, they saw lots of success in the grades 9-12 divisions.
Highlights include Peyton Dolyny winning the Junior girls 5 km race with a time of 23:17 and a top five sweep of the Senior girls 6 km race. Trent Wilson also took the top spot in the Senior boys with a time of 21:25. The fall season of Muskies sports will wrap up soon and hockey will be starting in the next few weeks. Next week we hope to take a look at girls’ basketball and boys’ volleyball.
The Muskies track and field team, left, prepares for the final meet of the season. Chloe Dolyny finished second in the Senior Girls division, while Trent Wilson, above, took the top spot for the Senior Boys. -Allan Bradbury Photos
