Steve Arpin has been banged around before this season, but until Sunday an accident had never ended his day.
The local ARCA driver completed 140 of the 200 laps in the Menards 200 at Toledo Speedway before being knocked out after an accident.
Arpin, who started the race in eighth position, ended up finishing 23rd and dropped a spot in the overall points standings.
He now sits third with 1,390 points, 65 behind leader Patrick Sheltra and 55 behind second-place Justin Marks, the leader entering this week’s action.
The next ARCA event is the Messina Wildlife Animal Stopper 200, slated for June 5 at Pocono Raceway.
