Muskie running back Colton Craig was rewarded for his strong play during the 2012 high school football season by being named to the WHSFL’s Andy Currie ‘A’ Division all-star team.
Craig, a Grade 12 student who was co-MVP for the black-and-gold last year, was a workhorse in the backfield again this season, scoring touchdowns in Fort High’s wins over the Tec Voc Hornets and St. Norbert Celtics during the regular season.
The Muskies, who finished the regular season with a 3-4 record, were eliminated in the quarter-finals Oct. 26 by the Steinbach Sabres, who captured the division title with a 31-6 win over the Neelin Spartans yesterday in Winnipeg.
The black-and-gold officially will put the wraps on their season with their annual awards banquet set for Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Little Beaver Cultural Centre here.
