Court teams swept by Eagles

The Muskie court teams finally resumed NorWOSSA action yesterday afternoon in Dryden after an extended break only to be swept by the host Eagles.
The junior girls’ volleyball team lost in five sets (25-13, 19-25, 14-25, 25-20, and 10-15), which dropped their NorWOSSA record to 3-4 on the season.
The squad will be in Dryden again today for the Sweetheart Series junior girls’ volleyball tournament.
Meanwhile, the senior girls were downed in straight sets (25-11, 25-14, and 25-9), which leaves them with a 1-6 mark in NorWOSSA.
The junior boys’ basketball team lost 48-33 to the Eagles to sit with a 2-5 record while the senior boys still are looking for their first win (0-7) after a 71-54 loss yesterday in Dryden.
The seniors will be in Winnipeg this weekend for the eighth-annual SJR Classic basketball tournament.
The four Muskie court teams will close out the regular season here next Tuesday (Feb. 15) against the Kenora Broncos, with the playoffs slated for next Thursday in Kenora.
