A pair of Muskie court teams came home with victories yesterday.
The senior boys’ basketball squad improved to 2-0 in NorWOSSA play with a 68-30 thrashing of the host Kenora Broncos.
Justin Anderson led the way with 18 points while Caleb McIntosh had 17.
Will Anderson and Josh Strain added 10 and nine points, respectively.
Meanwhile, the junior girls’ volleyball team evened its league record at 1-1 following a 3-0 sweep of the Broncos by scores of 25-9, 25-17, and 25-16.
The Muskie senior girls’ volleyball squad, meanwhile, alternated sets with Kenora but eventually dropped the best-of-five match 3-2 (25-15, 20-25, 25-20, 18-25, and 15-4) to sit at 0-2 in NorWOSSA play.
The junior boys’ basketball team also fell to 0-2 with a 52-27 loss in Kenora yesterday.
All four teams don’t resume NorWOSSA play until Jan. 6 in Dryden.
But the basketball teams will see action over the Christmas break, including the senior boys hosting their annual alumni game on Tuesday (Dec. 21) at 1 p.m. at Fort High.
Then both squads will hit the floor in International Falls the following Tuesday (Dec. 28) for exhibition matches against the Broncos.
