Court teams nearly sweep Broncs

Playing their second matches in as many days didn’t faze three of the four Muskie court teams here Tuesday.
The senior boys’ basketball squad downed the visiting Kenora Broncos 64-50 while the junior boys earned a 30-18 victory.
Both teams improved to 2-0 in NorWOSSA play.
After being swept in Dryden on Monday, the Muskie senior girls’ volleyball team rebounded with a 3-1 win in their best-of-five showdown with Kenora.
Fort High dropped the first set 25-23, but then took the next three by scores of 25-20, 25-16, and 25-12 to improve to 1-1 on the young season.
Their junior girls weren’t so fortunate, however, as they fell to 0-2 with a 3-1 loss to Kenora (18-25, 20-25, 25-23, and 22-25).
Due to the Christmas break, the won’t resume NorWOSSA action until Jan. 5 when they travel to Dryden to face the Eagles.
Then they’ll return home to host Kenora on Jan. 7.
