After an almost two-week hiatus from NorWOSSA play, the four Muskie court teams returned to action yesterday in Kenora, where they ended up splitting their four matches with the Broncos.
On the basketball court, Sarah Bagacki had 22 points as the junior girls (4-1) earned their fourth-straight win by defeating Kenora 32-18.
But the senior girls fell to the host Broncos 24-18, dropping their league record to 2-3.
Chantal Jodoin led the way with eight points.
In volleyball action yesterday, the Muskie junior boys (2-3) snapped a two-match losing skid with a four-set win over the Broncos by scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, and 25-21.
As for the senior boys, they fell to 2-3 on the season after being swept by Kenora (19-25, 14-25, and 23-25).
The black-and-gold will resume NorWOSSA play here next Tuesday (Oct. 25) as the host the Dryden Eagles.
But three of the squads will compete in out-of-town tournaments this weekend, with the junior spikers heading Dryden and both basketball squads off to Thunder Bay.
