Their most recent win could not have come any easier–but they all count the same in the standings.
Centra Pipelines picked up their second win in a row with a default victory over CJ Contracting (2-4-2) in Borderland Soccer League men’s division action on Monday night.
Last Wednesday night (July 24), however, Centra earned a 2-0 shutout win over Manitou Forest Products.
Thomas Lepine and Jesus (last name not provided) both tallied in that one while Tyler Hamm earned the shutout in goal for Centra (8-2-1).
Chad Faragher suffered the loss for Manitou (1-5-1).
The CJ at Manitou game scheduled for last Monday night (July 22) was called shortly after kick-off due to lightning. It will be rescheduled for later in the season.
Manitou is slated to battle CJ tonight before squaring off against Centra tomorrow night in a make-up game.
Both games will start at 7 p.m. at the St. Francis Sports Field (weather permitting).
In women’s division action last Tuesday night (July 23), meanwhile, Mika Kooistra scored an impressive four times to pace Al’s Racquet Stringing to a 10-3 romp over La Place Rendez-Vous.
Sara Kellar also netted a hat trick in that one while Natalie Mitchell potted a pair and Rindy Veldhuisen added a single for Al’s, who improved to 2-5-1.
Maggie Jean and Claire Hyatt replied for the Vous (5-2-1) while the other marker was an own-goal.
Phyllis Pierson garnered the win in goal over Hailey Beaudry.
The two squads were to battle each other once again last night, with the outcome not known as of press time.
