The No.15/20 Florida State Seminoles’ swimming and diving teams secured a pair of wins against NR/RV Georgia Tech on the road at the McAuley Aquatic Center on Saturday.
The 20th-ranked women’s team (2-2, 1-2 ACC) defeated Georgia Tech (0-1, 0-1 ACC) 177-123, while the No. 15 men (3-1, 2-1 ACC) edged the Yellow Jackets 160-140.
Senior Ayla Bonniwell tallied a season-high score of 327.68 for the win on 3-metre and her classmate Molly Carlson, who is originally from Fort Frances, followed in third at 315.15.
Later in the meet, Bonniwell and Carlson were first and second on 1-metre, scoring 309.30 and 296.63, respectively.
Florida State will visit No.9/1 Florida next Friday (Nov. 8) before returning home to host Florida Southern, North Florida and West Florida on Nov. 9 at the Morcom Aquatics Center.

Despite a tough go of it down the stretch, the Rainy River Community College Voyageurs’ women’s volleyball team ended the season on a positive note with a 3-0 win over the host Fond du Lac Thunder on Friday.
The set scores were 25-18, 25-15, and 25-17 for the Voyageurs, who finished seventh in the eight-team Northern Division of the MCAC with a 4-19 record overall.
RRCC also was only 2-12 within its own conference.
Former Muskie Hailee Barnard had six kills and three digs in the season-ending win over the Thunder (0-15) while Alex Spuzak tallied two kills and three digs.

Former Muskie Cole Magill earned an assist as the Kenora Midget ‘AAA’ Thistles lost both of their games decisively over the weekend.
Magill’s helper came on a third-period goal as the Thistles lost 7-2 to the Winnipeg Wild on Saturday at Thistle Arena.
Kenora then lost 7-1 to the host Eastman Selects on Sunday to see their record fall to 0-9 on the season.
The Thistles will be looking for their first win of the season this weekend as they play a pair of road games against the Southwest Cougars (4-5) on Friday and Saturday before taking on the host Central Plains Capitals (6-3) on Sunday.

Cole Tymkin helped his London Knights secure a pair of wins over the weekend in OHL action.
Tymkin, who is originally from Rainy River, dished out an assist on Friday night to help lift the Knights to a 5-1 win over the visiting Saginaw Spirit.
Then on Saturday, the 20-year-old added a pair of helpers but London fell 6-5 in a shootout to the host Erie Otters.
Tymkin tallied his lone goal of the weekend on Sunday as the Knights improved to 6-4-1 in the Midwest Division with a 6-2 home win over the Niagara Ice Dogs.
Tymkin’s marker was the final one of the game for London in the third period, which made it 5-1 at the time. In 12 games this season, he has tallied three goals and four assists.
