Jon Carlson is heading to the nation’s capital.
The local defenceman, who spent last season with the Thunder Bay Kings at the Minor Midget level, was drafted in the eighth round (156th overall) by the Ottawa 67’s in the Ontario Hockey League draft held Saturday.
Carlson racked up four goals and 31 assists in 68 games with the Kings last season, also collecting 84 penalty minutes along the way.
