Canadians to compete at Rooster Cup

The Fort Frances Canadians travel to Mitchell, S.D. this weekend to play in the Rooster Cup hockey tournament.
Unlike other tournaments, the Rooster Cup is unique in that it pits South Dakota-based teams against a contingent of squads from across North America.
The two groups will compete in a total of 32 games. Two points are awarded for a win while each team receives one point in the case of a tie.
The group—either South Dakota or North America—which accumulates 33 points collectively is declared Rooster Cup champion.
The Canadians open against host Mitchell tonight.
Then they will face Sioux Falls and Brookings tomorrow before wrapping up the weekend against Watertown on Sunday morning.
