The Fort Frances ‘AA’ Midget Canadians made a statement in their season-opener Saturday—thrashing the Mitchell Mohawks of Mitchell, Man. by a 9-2 score.
Ryan Lundy led the way with a hat trick while Brett Bodnarchuk added two goals.
Chipping in with singles were Chris Bobczynski, Dylan Grinsell, Cody Bodnar, and Mike Mainville.
The Canadians are back on the ice Nov. 14-15 in Faribault, Mn., where they’ll take on Shattuck St. Mary’s in a three-game exhibition set.
Their annual home tournament runs Nov. 27-29.
