The Fort Frances Canadians ‘AA’ Midget hockey team worked off some of the rust during a pair of exhibition games against perennial powerhouse Shattuck St. Mary’s in Faribault, Mn. over the weekend.
The Canadians struggled in both games, losing by scores of 7-1 and 9-2.
Jordan Sinclair netted the lone marker in Saturday’s opener while Cole Calder and Jake Witherspoon tallied for the Canadians during Sunday’s finale.
The good news is the Canadians have plenty of time to regroup before Shattuck comes to town for a pair of games Nov. 8-9.
