The Fort Frances Canadians began play at the third-annual FASA Invitational Jr. Gold hockey tournament this afternoon in Grand Forks, N.D. against the host squad.
The Canadians are part of an eight-team field that includes two other Grand Forks-based teams as well as Duluth, Langdon, Huron, and Fargo.
The winner of today’s Canadians/Gold game will square off against the winner of the Duluth/Langdon game—scheduled for later this evening—in the ‘A’ semi-final tomorrow.
The finals go Sunday morning.
