The Emo Bulldogs lost both their games to get quickly bounced from a 12-team ‘AAA’ fastball tournament in Rice Lake, Wis. over the weekend.
The Evansville Bulls jumped all over Bulldogs’ starter Warren Voth for a 4-0 lead after two innings en route to a 6-3 victory. Todd Desautels went deep with a solo shot in a losing cause.
Against 51 Classic, Emo scored a pair in the first but left the bases loaded to end the inning with a ground ball to the pitcher.
The Bulldogs then watched as their opponents slowly built up a 5-3 and then broke the game open with a pair of solo home runs in the fifth to ice the 7-3 win.
Sheldon Kelly was tagged with the loss on the mound for Emo.
