Bujold opens OFSAA play

Staff

Aaron Bujold will rejoin his Muskie boys’ soccer teammates next week.
He has a little “birdie” business to attend to first.
Bujold opened play this morning in the senior boys’ singles division at the OFSAA badminton championships in North Bay.
After an opening-round bye in the 40-player field, Bujold faced COSSA champ Samson Chan from the Centennial Secondary School Chargers (Belleville).
The match was incomplete as of press time.
Bujold claimed his second-straight NorWOSSA title in senior boys’ singles play last month in Atikokan—despite only being in Grade 10 that normally would have him eligible for the junior boys’ division.
He then captured his second-straight silver medal at the NWOSSAA playdowns in Dryden.
Bujold went 2-4 in his OFSAA debut last year—missing the playoffs on the consolation side of the ‘C’ flight.
Competition continues tomorrow before wrapping up Saturday.
