Bujold in ‘must-win’

Staff

It’s down to last-chance time for Aaron Bujold.
The Muskie—competing in the boys’ singles division—dropped his first two matches at the OFSAA badminton championships yesterday in Markham.
Bujold, the NorWOSSA champ and NWOSSAA silver-medalist, lost his opening contest in the ‘A’ Flight 2-0 (21-10/21-17) to Victor Gao (CWOSSA).
That relegated Bujold to the ‘B’ Flight, where he was swept 2-0 (21-13/21-7) by Patrick Wang (GHAC) to drop down to the ‘C’ Flight.
Bujold needs to defeat the loser of the match between Andre Grenier (NEOAA) and Bryan Hill (WOSSAA) today to stay alive in the tournament.
The medal-round games in all three flights are scheduled for tomorrow.
