The Muskie girls’ hockey team had another early-season near-miss Tuesday night in Kenora, dropping a 3-1 decision to the host Broncos.
The black-and-gold fell to 0-2 after losing their season-opener 3-2 to Red Lake here Saturday.
Fort High got off to a good start in Kenora as Hailey Clendenning opened the scoring, with Ericka Tymkin and Jessica Taggart drawing the assists.
But the Broncos rebounded with three-straight tallies, including an empty-netter to round out the scoring.
The Muskies will look to get off the schneid this Sunday when they visit the Sioux Lookout Warriors.
Fort High then will face the Dryden Eagles on Tuesday (Nov. 23) at 7:15 p.m. at the Ice For Kids Arena.
That same night, the Muskie boys’ team will play its first NorWOSSA game of the season when they visit Dryden.
The black-and-gold are in a tournament in Morden, Man. this weekend.
In related news, the Muskie girls’ squad will hold its annual bake sale this Saturday (Nov. 20) from noon-2 p.m. in the Memorial Sports Centre auditorium.
