Braves double Wolves

Staff

The friendly confines of VanJura Park couldn’t remain perfect for the Sight & Sound Wolves forever.
The Wolves lost at home for the first time this season, dropping an 8-4 decision to the Big Grassy Braves (7-4) last night.
Jesse Tom, Linden Indian, and Tim Archie all belted homers in support of winning pitcher Travis Tom.
Bob Andy took the loss for the Wolves (4-5).
In other RRDFL action, Barwick pounded Manitou 31-1 on home runs by Kevin Gemmell, who launched his fifth in three games this week, and Mike Anderson.
George Oltsher got the win for the Blue Knights (10-2) while Aaron Pitchenese suffered the lopsided loss for Manitou (2-9).
In the other game that got in, Stratton bounced Northwest Bay 12-6.
Guy Arpin earned the win for the Eagles (4-5) while Terry Smith was tagged with the loss for Northwest Bay (3-8).
The two other games—Sabaskong at the Big Grassy Lightning and Rainy River visiting Big Island—were postponed.
