Bowlers capture 55+ crown


The Northern Ontario bowling team of Ken Dick, Bruce Henry and Jim Fowler earned the Club 55 triples championship in Winnipeg last Thursday.
The trio cruised to the gold, with their 591.20 average placing them well ahead of second-place Manitoba, who finished with 552.70.
As well, they beat their team average (522) in nine of ten games, including a 648 score in their fourth game to best the average by a whopping 126 points.
Dick bowled by far the highest average of the two-day championship, averaging 265.30 over his 10 games, with a 304 in his second game standing as the competition’s best single-game mark.
