After a case of early-season parity in the local Monday night men’s basketball league, the class of the circuit is starting to make itself clear.
Boston Pizza drubbed the Muskies 85-61 to improve their record to a league-leading 5-1.
The loss dropped the Muskies to 1-5.
The late game was more of a thriller as Taggs edged the Rendez-Vous by the narrowest of margins—taking an 86-85 decision in overtime.
Down by three points late in regulation time, the Vous hit a last-second “trey” to send the game into the extra period.
But they couldn’t complete the comeback.
Taggs improved to 4-2 with the win while the Vous slid to 2-4.
