Bonot rink tops “Pool A” at Brier

Team Northern Ontario, skipped by Rainy River district native Trevor Bonot, has pulled into the top spot in the A pool, after a win against Ontario Tuesday morning. The team has a 4 win-1 loss record, with their singular point against coming from a nail-biter 9-8 loss against Manitoba (Carruthers) on Sunday evening.

The team has two games remaining in round robin play. They have no games scheduled for Wednesday, but play a double bill on Thursday, facing off against Manitoba (Dunstone) at 10 a.m. and Yukon at 8 p.m.

Playoffs will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, with the top three teams from each pool advancing to that round.

The finals will be held Sunday evening. The Brier is being hosted by Regina.
