The Muskies and Rainy River Owls represented their schools well at the OFSAA badminton championships held Thursday through Saturday in Windsor.
Muskie Aaron Bujold was able to advance to the ‘A’-side quarter-finals.
He won three-straight matches in men’s singles on Thursday to advance to the final eight.
He then took on Kevin Wang of Mississauga’s Glenforest Secondary School but came out on the losing end.
That dropped Bujold to the ‘A’-consolation side, where he fell to Ryan Chan (YRAA) in the quarter-finals.
Muskies Lauryn Marchant and Tayah Badiuk compiled a 1-2 record on Thursday, losing their opener in women’s doubles ‘A’-side action before splitting a pair of matches in the ‘B’ flight.
Jackson Arpin of Rainy River, meanwhile, played in the ‘B’ Flight.
He lost his opening match, won his next, but lost in a third that relegated him to the ‘C’ Flight.
Arpin then won three matches there before losing in the final.
