The local Bantam boys’ curling rink will be without skip Isaac Keffer when they jet off to Sudbury today for the provincial championship.
Keffer is still in Italy with the Fort Frances High School band, but Ethan Jordbro will step in and skip the team, which also includes Peter Jensen, Cody Heyens, and Travis Bois.
The foursome begins play tomorrow against the Josh Szajewski rink (Keewatin Curling Club), then hits the ice for a pair of games Friday against Scott Tremblay (Sudbury) and Mark Dugas (Sault Ste. Marie).
The locals are back on the ice Saturday morning against Jay Turner (Geraldton), then will wrap up the round-robin portion that afternoon against Erik Luczak of the host Idylwylde Curling Club.
The final goes Sunday afternoon.
