After months of hard work, and weeks of waiting to make sure that every ‘t’ was crossed and every ‘i’ dotted, local racer Steve Arpin finally will be able to tell the racing community his plans for the 2011 season on national television this evening.
Arpin, along with his sponsor, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, will be announcing his team and schedule for the rest of this season at 6 p.m. (CDT) on Speed Channel during an episode of “NASCAR Race Hub.”
“It’s been a long winter,” Arpin admitted.
“Ever since the ARCA season came to an end last October, and even before then, really, Mike’s Hard Lemonade and I have been working hard to evaluate where we were both at, and we both knew that we wanted to move up in the ranks,” Arpin noted.
“But we also needed to find the right fit for me as a driver, and for Mike’s as a brand, which is why it took such a long time to get everything ready,” he explained.
“It’s the most exciting thing that I’ve done in my life, and I’m just excited to finally be able to tell my fans back home about what we’re doing,” Arpin enthused.
Arpin also is looking forward to the fact the announcement itself will be made on a channel like Speed, which is the focal point for many NASCAR fans to get their news and notes each week.
“They’ve had some big-name drivers on there, so it’s just a feeling of accomplishment just to be invited on there by the folks at Speed to make the announcement,” he remarked.
