Former local driver Steve Arpin once again performed best when it counted at the Garden State ARCA 150 over the weekend.
He finished the race in ninth place after starting in 15th.
Arpin crossed the finish line 9.197 seconds behind winner Casey Roderick, and had a top speed of 94.749 m.p.h.
Arpin remains in 13th place in the series title chase with 2,120 points, trailing overall leader Frank Kimmel’s 3,030 with seven events left on the ARCA circuit.
The next ARCA event is the Allen Crowe 100 set for this Sunday (Aug. 22) at the Illinois State Fairgrounds.
