So far, so good for Steve Arpin with Venturini Motorsports.
The Fort Frances native switched over to the driver development program for NASCAR’s Joe Gibbs Racing from Eddie Sharp Racing prior to this past Saturday’s Pennsylvania 200 from Pocono Raceway—and sped to his best finish on tour with a fourth-place showing.
It was the Fort Frances native’s best finish on the ARCA RE/MAX Series since a fifth-place finish at the Tim Richmond Memorial 200 in late June.
Arpin actually led for eight laps and was in the hunt for top spot before a collision with Parker Kligerman with three laps remaining forced him to fall back to fourth.
The circuit resumes action Aug. 23 at the Allen Crowe 100 from the Illinois State Grounds.
Arpin is currently seventh on the circuit with 2,460 points.
