Fort Frances native Steve Arpin continued his string of tough finishes on NASCAR’s Nationwide Series, finishing 29th in the Royal Purple 200 at Darlington Raceway on Friday night.
Arpin had started the race in 21st position.
He was involved in bringing out the third yellow flag of the night when he was caught up in a crash with Scott Lagasse Jr., Chad McCumbee, James Buescher, and Michael McDowell on Lap 34.
Arpin had finished 25th at the Bubba Burger 250 on April 30 and 26th at the Aaron’s 312 on April 25.
The next race in the Nationwide series is the Heluva Good! 200 at Dover International Speedway this coming Saturday afternoon.
