Fort Frances native Steve Arpin improved one spot on his first Nationwide Series result, finishing 25th at the Bubba Burger 250 at Richmond on Friday night.
Arpin had finished 26th in his Nationwide debut in the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega on April 25.
For Friday’s race, Arpin was 37th on the starting grid but worked his way up the standings over the course of the race.
Arpin’s status for this Friday’s Nationwide race—the Royal Purple 200 at Darlington Raceway—is unclear as only two races were confirmed when Arpin joined the loop.
The 26-year-old is on a one-year contract with an option for a second year, but his main commitment is to the ARCA Series.
That circuit is on a mid-season break, but resumes action May 23 with the Menards 200 at Toledo Speedway.
Arpin sits second in the ARCA points standings with 1,275, 20 behind leader Justin Marks.
