Aquanauts close out swim season

As last Wednesday’s awards banquet wrapped up yet another successful season for the Aquanauts swim team, head coach Debbie Murray had the chance to look back on it–and was happy with the results.
“We had a lot of good swims and a lot of swimmers did improve,” said Murray, who will be back again as the club’s head coach next season. “There wasn’t a swimmer that didn’t improve.”
Murray said the swimmers exhibited a good sense of camaraderie as a group over the course of the season, noting things went as smoothly out of the pool as they did in the water.
“I think the season was definitely better,” she remarked.
Looking ahead, Murray said the club will maintain its philosophy in competitive swimming but admitted there will be some changes at the pre-comp levels.
“The Aquanauts are in the transition of regrouping their program,” she noted Friday. “The development group will be the biggest change–we need to meet the needs of our swimmers.”
