Erika Anderson, captain of the Muskie girls’ hockey squad, was named the team’s most valuable player for the 2009-10 season.
Anderson was the backbone of the Muskie defence when she was healthy.
She missed the final seven weeks of the NorWOSSA regular season with a broken collarbone, but returned in time for the post-season.
The black-and-gold ended up being swept by the Kenora Broncos in the best-of-three NorWOSSA semi-finals.
Other award winners included Courtney Bethune (rookie of the year), Kim LaFleur (most improved), Jillian Langtry (most sportsmanship), Courtney Easton (most dedicated), and Danielle Jean (coach’s award).
