With the change of the seasons, comes a change of sports, as hockey and curling give way to soccer, football and track. As Canada’s two favourite winter sports wrap up, and award nights are organized, we’ve collected some photos of kids in sports from across our region.
Teams in the Fort Frances Minor Hockey League enjoyed victory this year. Above, the The U13 Boston Pizza Royals came out on top in their final tournament of the year, in Dryden. They were undefeated in all six games. Right, the FFGWHA U11 won bronze in two tournaments this season. Bottom right, the Fort Frances Tigers took home the U13 Division league championship in style, thanks to sharp new uniforms. Below, the Greens Predators were named U15 champions in a 2-1 final against the Hulmlund Maple Leafs.
