‘A’ bracket finalists set

The top two teams in the regular season didn’t disappoint again last night as Sight & Sound and Rainy River both advanced to the ‘A’ bracket final in Rainy River District Fastball League playoff action.
Sight & Sound trounced Big Island 12-4, which sends Big Island to the ‘B’ bracket semi-final this coming Tuesday against the winner of the Big Grassy/Rainy Lake game played last night (that outcome was not available by press time).
Rainy River, the defending RRDFL champs, found their offence last night in doubling Barwick 10-5.
Sight & Sound and Rainy River, both 2-0 in the playoffs so far, will meet in the ‘A’ final here next Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, Pinewood rebounded from its loss this past Tuesday to edge Stratton last night to advance to the other ‘B’ bracket semi-final versus Barwick this coming Tuesday.
The ‘A’ bracket winner will meet the ‘B’ bracket finalist for the league title, with the ‘B’ champs having to beat the ‘A’ winner twice to claim the crown.
