Young woman arrested for impaired driving

Officers from the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver at a local service station parking lot around 10 p.m. on Sunday.
A a male was observed outside a vehicle, attempting to stop a female driver, while she was trying to leave the parking lot.
Police assisted and as a result the vehicle was stopped by police.
The driver, an 18-year-old Fort Frances resident, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and driving while impaired.
She was released on a promise to appear for court on Jan. 20.
