The special events committee for Riverside Foundation for Health Care is holding its annual “Wonderful Wreath Raffle” this week at La Verendrye Hospital and the Christmas Store.
The wreaths will be displayed, and tickets sold, at La Verendrye Hospital on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., and again at the Christmas Store on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during store hours.
The draw will be made Sunday at the Christmas Store.
“Members of the committee have been making and donating their handcrafted wreaths for the past three years,” noted Foundation director Teresa Hazel.
“We also have some very generous and talented community friends who create wreaths for us,” she added.
“Mitzi Armstrong, Nikki Wiedenhoeft, and Linda Hamilton have all made and donated beautiful wreaths for us this year,” enthused Hazel.
Also this year, the special events committee will be introducing a new seasonal craft—handcrafted snowmen bird feeders.
“They are really cute and I haven’t seen them much around town . . . yet,” said Joan Allison, chair of the special events committee.
“Our members have been sworn to secrecy until after the raffle,” she chuckled.
Everyone is encouraged to stop by the hospital or the Christmas Store this week and support the district’s three hospitals.
