Sioux Lookout OPP received a report yesterday of a missing person in the Sioux Lookout area.
Information was learned that an adult female had been out in a remote wooded area.
OPP officers attended the area and located a deceased adult female.
She subsequently was identified as Doris Loon, 41, of Cat Lake First Nation.
The OPP’s Forensic Identification Unit and the Emergency Response Team were dispatched to assist in the investigation, which is ongoing.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be held in Kenora.
