The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce would like to congratulate the winners, and thank all participants, of this year’s “Quest for Canada’s Best Window Display” contest.
The contest asked local businesses to decorate their storefront windows to represent famous Canadians, and ran the week leading up to Canada Day as part of the celebrations.
There were four awards businesses could try for:
•The Don Cherry Award for the most extravagant window—won by Northwoods Gallery & Gifts;
•The Alexander Graham Bell Award for the most creative/inventive window—won by NCDS;
•The Jim Carrey Award for the most humourous window—won by McTaggarts; and
•The Best Celebrity Portrayal Award—won by Lowery’s for their representation of Canadian game show host Alex Trebek.
The winners enjoyed morning coffee brought to them by the Chamber of Commerce for their efforts.
