Snow and frigid temps last this weekend

The region is currently under a Yellow Watch for a Winter Storm by Environment Canada. A brief period of snow, possibly mixed with ice pellets, will develop late this afternoon into this evening. A lull in the precipitation is expected tonight, although light snow may occasionally mix with freezing drizzle. Snow is expected to develop Thursday morning, but may begin as a brief period of freezing rain. Strong northerly winds gusting to 70 km/h are expected to develop late Thursday morning into Thursday afternoon as temperatures rapidly fall. As a result, blowing snow giving poor visibility is also likely. Conditions are expected to improve Thursday evening.

Tomorrow will continue to see snow or rain during the day before becoming partly cloudy with a chance of snow overnight and a high of 1 (34) with a low of -27 (-17).

Friday will bring a mix of sun and cloud with a chance of snow during the day before becoming cloudy with a chance of snow overnight and a high of -11 (12) with a low of -18 (0).
