Watercolour workshop slated here

Well-known Thunder Bay artist Peter Humeniuk will be holding a weekend watercolour workshop called “The Colour of Music” on April 5-6 at the Little Beaver Snow Park here.
“He’s holding it at cost, kind of as a promotional thing,” explained Bob Hamilton, owner of Little Beaver Snow Park and a friend of the artist.
“We thought it would be good to help develop some art sensitivity in the Rainy River District,” he added.
The two-day workshop will run from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. on the Saturday and 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. on the Sunday.
Hamilton explained participants don’t need any artistic experience—just an interest to learn about watercolour.
“He’s very good at teaching techniques to beginners right up to people who are already doing it well,” Hamilton noted.
With nearly a dozen people already registered for the workshop, Hamilton said it would be great to have upwards of 20 participants.
He added Humeniuk held a watercolour workshop here several years ago upstairs in the Fort Frances Museum and had about 20 people sign up.
The upcoming workshop costs $110 if participants bring their own materials and $135 with all materials supplied.
Those interested are able to register right up until April 5.
